Show Flyers Down Rams In Baseball; ' Golfers Get Matches The Dixie Flyer baseball team out hit and outscored the Parowan High team by a 4 to 1 score in a game played at St. George last Thursday, In a well played ball game. The win left the Dixie High pine in a first place tie with the Cedar High Redmen, who won from the Kanab Cowboys in a game played at Cedar that same day. In the other game that day the Hurricane High Tigers and the Enterprise Hi Wolves met at Hurricane, j The Parowan Dixie gamb was a close pitching battlp for five innings between Kiri-caid Kiri-caid of Parowan and Drake of Dixie, with the latter getting get-ting the win when Kincaid gave up two runs in the fifth inning. Parowan opened the scoring with i run in its half of the first inning, but Dixie came up with two scores in their half of the inning, and it remained re-mained this way until the last of the fifth when the Flyers came up with two more runsf At this point Phil Burt took over on the mound for Parol wan and held the home team scoreless for the remaining innings, in-nings, but the Rams couldnt produce any runs and went down by the 4-1 margin. 1 The Flyers got seven hits tj four for the Rams, and the latter made five errors to three for the winners. Kincaicl stole home from third with the only Parowan run. ' Coach Elliot Jordan's Ram nine will meet the Hurricane Tigers this week on the local diamond in a game set tenta tively for 2 p. m. and should be favored to come up witH a win in this one.
