Saturday night at 9:00 p. m., the girls' gym will glitter with decorations and lovely dresses as the couples drift onto the floor. Tomorrow, Tomor-row, Friday, the Junior Prom Assembly, written by Kathy Topham, will be witnessed by the CHS students. The Junior class promises that it will be the best assembly of the year. The Junior Prom theme is, "I Can't Stop Falling in Love with You." Early Wednesday morning, the traveling assembly went to Dixie and Hurricane. Those who went along to show the variety of talent present at The track team traveled last Saturday to Ephraim to participate par-ticipate in field and track events against other top teams in both Class A and B. Redman Red-man Kim Matheson came through with another first, place In the high hurdles event for the Redmen with a 15.4 pace. Next Saturday, the 27th, the team will travel to Provo for the BYU Invitational. I A primary elections assembly assem-bly was held last Monday to introduce the candidates who are running to fill next year's student offices. ' The candidates candi-dates campaigned for positions posi-tions in both the girls and boys organizations and the student body. Candidates for boys organization organ-ization were Larry Woolf, Val Cedar High were Pat Evans, Connie Peterson, Judy Har-grave, Har-grave, Jerry Bowler, Larry Brough, Paul Challis, Chris Church, LuAnn Smith, Ronnie Woolf, Gaye Stucki, Charles Garfield, Roice Nelson, Randy Shirts, and Raymond Gardner, accompanied by Kim Matheson, Math-eson, student body president, and Richard Gordon and Jim McConnell from the stage crew. j Christensen, and Paul Cahoon for secretary; Scott Thorley, Mike Wood, and Carl Jones for vice president; and Bill Leigh, Steve Foisy, and Eric , Marchant for president. Those running for girls organization secretary are Carla Blackburn, Liz Corry, and Judy Roberts; for vice president are Ruth Humphrey, Susie Smart, and Diane Forsyth; and for president pres-ident Lyn Jones, Valerie I Brown, and Lana Bauer. j The preliminaries for stu-I stu-I dent body offices also had a ' good turn out. Pam Hunter, Vanna Hunter, Barbara Leigh, and Jan Corry were the can-1 diriates for student body secretary. sec-retary. Dan Yergenson, Rex Osborne, Jim Bonzo, Randy TIoyt, Nancy Stephenson, and Bruce Blackner are vying for the vice president position. A good selection of candidates are campaigning for the student stu-dent body president position. They are Roger Hair, Ned Lunt, Susan Saegmiller, Jim Schumate, Mike Leavitt, Tom Beck, and Everett Pickering. Cheerleader tryouts were held yesterday afternoon in the CHS gym. The student body picked their favorites for next year's cheerleaders and yell-leaders. The winners will be revealed Friday at the Junior Jun-ior Prom Assembly.
