White and Miss LuAnn Smith, sisters of the bride. , Their dresses matched the bridal bri-dal gown In a high empire waist style but were two-toned in burgandy velveteen bodices bo-dices with pink floor-length skirts. Their bouquets were designed from glamelias and carnations in shades of burgandy bur-gandy and pink. Mr. Craig V. Wentz of Provo, was best man. Ushers were Phillip Thompson, brother of the bridegroom Ralph Dign and Del Rich. The bride's mother wore a floor-length pink crepe gown with a brocade jacket. Her corsage was made of white glamelias accented with burgandy bur-gandy colored ribbon. The bridegroom's mother wore a pink crepe floor-length dress featuring a scalloped neckline. Her corsage was also of white glamelias with ribbon accents. ac-cents. Those helping with the reception re-ception included Mr. and Mrs. Max Webb at the guest book, Mrs. Leigh Wade, Mrs. Ross Glass, Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Rich and Mrs. Lorrin Hutchings as gift room attendants Serving were Charlotte Carter, Pam Petty, Francie Orton, Lorraine Mosdell, Mary Kay Slack and Margaret Wade. Kitchen hostesses were Mrs. Orwin Green, Mrs. Clarence Cripps, Mrs. Darwin Nelson, Mrs. Ray Melline, Mrs. Del V. Miss Fonette Osborne exchanged ex-changed nuptial vows with Stephen W. Thompson during a double-ring ceremony performed per-formed by President Rudgar C. Atkin in the St. George LDS Temple. The January 27th rites were followed by a reception re-ception held in Cedar City at the Seventh-Ninth Ward LDS Cultural Hall. Parents of the bride pre Mr. and Mrs. Wallace W. Osborne, Cedar City. The brtdegrcom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wood-row Wood-row M. Thompson, Provo. For her nuptials, the bride chose a gown of white chysta-line chysta-line covered with chiffon. The dress was styled to floor-length floor-length in a high empire waist fashion. Highlighting the gown was the chiffon floor-length floor-length train, the seed pearl and lace accents adorning the bodice and the base of the dress. The veil was of bridal illusion and was secured to a crown of seed pearls. A bouquet bou-quet of glamelias and euchar-is euchar-is lilies with stenphanotis was designed in a cascading style. Matron of honor was Mrs. Del Rich and bridesmaids were Miss Karen Thompson, Miss Sue Thompson, Miss Jill Bryant, Mrs. Karl Bradshaw, Mrs. Robert Skinner, Mrs. Rex Hulet, Mrs. Derrell Imlay, Mrs. Bob Smith, Mrs. Kent Dover and Dick Dover. Entertaining guests at the reception was Mr. Ross Glass, who played background organ music. Following their honeymoon the couple is residing in Provo. The bride is a junior student at Brigham Young University where she is majoring in Elementary Ele-mentary Education. She had previously attended College of Southern Utah where she was affiliated with Pi Rho Omega Sorority and served as sorority president. Her husband is a sophomore at BYU. He served a two year mission in the Gulf States for the LDS Church. Prior to the wedding the bride was honored at a kitchen shower given by Mrs. Max Webb and Mrs. Del Rich. Close ' friends and relatives attended! the affair which was held at! the home of Mrs. Webb. Other wedding festivities included an open house which was hosted in Provo Saturday, Jan. ' 28 by the bridegroom's par-1 ents. |
