Show Recital Scheduled In New College Music Hall The first musical offering to be held in the recital hall of the new College of Southern Utah Music Hall will be an evening of chamber music Sunday, Feb. 19 at 8:15 p. m. under the direction of Professor Profes-sor Roy L. Halversen, chairman chair-man of the CSU Division of Humanities and Fine Arts. The program will be performed per-formed by the CSU Alumni String Quartet and String Ensemble En-semble consisting of Prof. Halversen, Hal-versen, Mrs. June Thorley, Robert Ro-bert Bradshaw, Mrs. Carol Ann Jones, Mrs. Madelon Payne, and Mrs. Evelyn Jones. Selections by the groups will include arrangements from original or-iginal scores by Prof. Halversen Halver-sen encompassing such composers com-posers as Chabrier, Van Goens, Mascagni, Albeniz, Kaun and Kroll. The Haydn "Quartet in E-flat Major, Opus 64, No. 6" will be a program number as will Tenaglia's "Aria" and Grieg's "Solveig's Song" from Peer Gynt Suite. There will be no admission charge. |
