Show NEWCASTLE by Mrs. Norma ChrUtensen This lovely storm we have been getting these last few days has surely been welcome and will be most beneficial for the reservoirs around our area. Mrs. Fern Showalter left last week to return to her home in Lovell, Wyoming. Mrs. Showalter. Showal-ter. is a sister to Mrs. Geneva Gillies and has been staying with Geneva most of the winter. Visiting with Geneva last week end was her daughter and family, fami-ly, Mr. and Mrs. Max (Bonnie) Riggs of Las Vegas, Nev., and also another daughter, Mrs. Nal-da Nal-da Gardner and son, Neal of Cedar Ce-dar City. Richard and Uriah Jones were in Salt Lake City last week on business. Also in the capital city for a few days was Boyd Chris-tensen. Chris-tensen. He attended the State ASC convention there. Mrs. Cleo Applegate and baby son, of Cedar City, visited her folks last week. Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Tullis. Mr. and Mrs. Roger (Lydia) Morton and little daughter of Summit, were Sunday visitors at the home of their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Harrison. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Piatt Journeyed to Los Angeles, Calif, on business. With all the rain they had in Los Angeles last week. Warren and S.a will be glad to get back to our drouth area. The New Castle Ward held their MIA Gold and Green Ball Saturday night The hall was decorated de-corated to the theme of "Heart of My Heart." A floor show was presented and the dancers Included In-cluded Beverly, Linda, and Janice Jan-ice Christensen, Gloria and La-Nita La-Nita Jolley, Sydney Tullis, Marsha Mar-sha Harrison, ReVoe. Hulet. James Tullis, Billy Hart Daniel Tullis and Kenneth Hulet. Baked goods and punch were sold. Attractive At-tractive decorations, good music and a good floor show all helped make a very successful evening and party . Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Gary Woodland. They are the proud parents of a new baby boy born last week in the St. George hospital. Three older sisters sis-ters welcomed the new arrival with much excitement The Woodland family live In Beryl but are members of the New Castle Ward and we are all happy hap-py for them . |
