Show i PARAGONAH NEWS NOTES Mr. and Mrs. Leland Partner of El Cajon, Calif, arrived here on Feb. 4th to spend the entire en-tire week with Leland's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Partner. They returned to their home on Saturday. Sat-urday. Ronald Robinson made a business busi-ness trip to Farmington, N. M. for his employers last week. He was gone from Tuesday to Fri day. Miss Shirley Thornton woh is attending at-tending school in Salt Lake City, and her sister, Junelle of Moses Lake, Washl, were week end guests at the home of their uncle un-cle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thornton. They arrived here Friday Fri-day night and on Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Thornton and the girls traveled to Cedar City to spend the day with Mrs. Eda Thornton and the Herbert Walkers. The entire group spent Sunday together to-gether in Paragonah. Miss Junelle Thornton has the rare opportunity of spending the next two years abroad with a family of friends and is leaving for Rome, Italy on Feb. 19. Mr. and Mrs. S. Walter Robb are enjoying a visit from relatives rela-tives from Salt Lake City, who arrived here on Friday for a few days' stay, They are Mr. and Mrs. Rado Kelley and Mr. Bolt Dailey, an uncle. Mrs. Alda Robinson arrived home on Saturday after sending send-ing the week in Cedar City with the Victor Matheson family and getting acquainted with the new grandchild. Mrs. Annie Talbot and daughter, daugh-ter, Judy, came home from Salt Lake Cityon Thursday of last week after visiting with relatives there for a few days. Her sons. Ardell and Neil, made the trip to Paragonah to bring the travelers tra-velers and remained here for the week end. Mrs. Talbot brings news that her son, Jim, has been drafted into the service and will be leaving on March 29th to report to Fort Lewis. Mr. and Mrs. Orlo Topham have a new granddaughter. The little girl was born early Saturday Sat-urday in the Iron County Hospital Hos-pital to Gale and Maxine Stolk of Parowan. Mrs. Alice Robinson observed the anniversary of her birthday on Thursday of last week and friends and relatives, as well , as family members, called dur-1 ing the day to help celebrate the occasion. Mrs. Rebecca Matheson and Mrs. Mary Orton came from Parowan and Gertrude Barton and Mrs. Ila Barton were here from Cedar City. On Friday Mrs. Robinson's sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Mary E. Gurr, arrived here from Salt Lake City to spend a week with the Robinsons and other relatives in this area. Sam Robb arrived here from Arizona on Friday to spend a few days with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Robb. A number of Paragonah people peo-ple attended the gathering for missionaries and servicemen's families held in Parowan on Monday evening. Included In the group were Mi. Bertha S. Topham, Mrs. Joan Davenport and son, Jerrold, Mi. and Mrs. Bill Boardman and son, Curt, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lamoreaux. |
