Show CSU Students Select Candidates For Spring Elections Primary elections for student body offices at the College of Southern Utah were held Wednesday Wed-nesday following a nominating assembly held Tuesday at the CSU auditorium. The two top candidates will become standard bearers for their respective parties. At the nominating assembly Tuesday four candidates were present for student body president. presi-dent. They Included Jerry Marsden and Lorl Misel of Cedar City; Gary Biagg; Salina and Wendell Hcaton, Kanab. Nominees for first vice president presi-dent include Kahiki Long, Hawaii; Ha-waii; Darla Ann Terry, Delta and Jill Roberts, Monroe. Jane Mace, Fillmore; Russell McGinn, Milforct and Pat Osier, Provo, comjM'ted in the primaries for the position of second vice president and Jane Fillmore, Beaver; Nila Mae Ipson, Pan-gultch Pan-gultch and Ruby Pope were named as candidates for student body secretary. Also named were candidates for the Associated Men Students and the Associated Women Students Stu-dents organizations. Two Cedar City men, MeLaln Bybee and Bill Lewis along with Bill Nordfelt of Sallna, were listed list-ed on the primary ballot for AMS president. AWS president nominees were Darlene Hyatt, Delta and Diane Peterson, Salina. The AWS presidential pre-sidential race is the only race with more than two candidates named at the nominating assembly. |
