Show Rep. Peterson Names Youths for Academy Competition Rep. M. Blaine Peterson of Utah this week announced First Congressional Con-gressional District 1962 nominations nomina-tions to the Air Force Academy, the Naval Academy and West Point. Qualifying examinations will be scheduled, soon by the academies for each of the nominees. nom-inees. Four Iron County students were named by Rep. Peterson to take the examinations. Ronald B. Carpenter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Carpenter aiid a senior at the Cedar City High School, was named as a principal princi-pal candidate to the U. S. Military Mili-tary Academy at West Point, Listed as alternate to West Point was Gail S. Seegmiller, who is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gail Seegmiller. Seeg-miller. Listed as alternates to the Air Force Academy was Seegmiller, William C. Lewis, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Beldon Lewis, both of Cedar City, and Donald A. Dal-ton, Dal-ton, Parowan, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harley W. Dalton. Lewis and Seegmiller were also listed as alternates to the U. S. Naval Academy at Annapolis. |
