Show CC Chamber Board Launches Projects Robert Hansen, president of the ' Cedar City Chamber of Com- merce, announced recently that three committee chairmen for ,'. the y.-ar have been named by the board of directors. Named .as chairman of the Inter-Community committee was . L. C. Miles. Keith Averett will serve as chairman of the Industrial Indust-rial Development Committee and Gerald Hansen will assume the chairmanship of the Education Committee. In other action of the board approval for the expenditure of $250 to assist in the publication of a South Utah Travel Association Associa-tion brochure was approved and machinery was undertaken for the Chamber of Commerce to sponsor a meeting of the retailers retail-ers and wholesalers of gasoline produces In the area for the purpose pur-pose of determining ways and means of lowering the price of , gasoline. It was also iointed out by President Hansen that the work is already underway for the I sponsorship of concerts by the 1 Cedar City Master Slr?ers in the surrounding communities as a F part of the Intcr-Communlty Re- latlons program. Richard Gilltes, board member and advisor to the education committee, indicated that a plan for a lump sum payment for memberships of the faculty members to the chamber has been undfjrr!;en, whereby all members at t:e faculty will oh-tain oh-tain membership. Work toward a similar program of the Iron County Teachers' Association Is also being undertaken. |
