Show CSUThunderbirds Venture On Final Road Trip The College of Southern Utah Thunderbirds currently sitting close to the bottom of the In-termountain In-termountain Collegiate Athletic Conference standings will face their final road trip of the season sea-son Friday and Saturday, in a near final effort to improve their conference rating. Friday the Thunderbirds will meet the Weber College Wildcats at Ogden and Saturday Coach Cleo Petty and his crew will move on to Rexburg. Ida. to tangle with the Ricks College Vikings. In previous meetings against these teams the Thunderbirds have scored a win over Ricks but were defeated on the home court by the. Wildcats. Weber at the present time is in a tie for the ICAC lead with the Boise Broncos Bron-cos and will attempt to improve their standings in home court stands Friday and Saturday against CSU and Dixie. For the Thunderbirds it will be the final meeting in ICAC competition against the Wildcats as Weber will move into a four year conference beginning with Fall quarter of 1902. Game time for both games will be 8 p. m. and both games will be broadcast over radio station KSUB. CSU Thunderbirds got off to a fair start In the ICAC contest this season then hit a snag on the first road trip by losing to the Carbon Eagles of Price. Since that time the Thunderbirds have dropped seven consecutive games, five in the conference, two out' side conference action. Two of those losses were on the home court and the remaining five were on the road. On the basis of only a single win on the road for CSU this final road trip looms as the last chance for the Thunderbirds to rally their forces for a team effort ef-fort and a pair of victories. |
