Show LETTERS TO THE EDITOR This year being a great political polit-ical year, I wonder Just how the people here in America are going to react to the propaganda that wUl be advanced, with each party par-ty bally hooing for favor from the people at large. Of course our supposed-to-be Republican party representative, Ike Eisenhower, came out for another an-other turn. Immediately California Calif-ornia endorsed him and recommended recom-mended that all Democrats in California endorse him. In my opinion this would be a good deal. The reason is our great Republican party believed In American freedom and not in free trade. They believed in keeping American business for American labor and our great standard of Jiving. I You know, sometimes I believe that we are being assimilated into socialistic and communistic views of the Russian and loreign beliefs. The farmer is being controlled con-trolled v similar conditions as exist in Russia and other parts of the world. As I see It, the farmer should go on a sit-down strike for this year. We should Just produce enough for ourselves. You know, the agriculture department insists in-sists that we are going to take less in 1956. How encouraging! I don't believe in a parity formula for-mula nor do I believe that a soU bank will do the average farmer or livestock man any good. It would only create more, government Jobs and cost the taxpayers more money for administration. ad-ministration. Here is my 12 point program for the livestock people and farmers far-mers to control their destiny: 1. Organize a livestock and farmers protective association. 2. Eliminate all connections with the Farm Bureau, National Grange, and Farmers Union that have never done us any good. 3. Control our marketing so as not to put a surplus of cattle or any other commodity on the mar-ket mar-ket at anytime so that it will demoralize it. 4. Work to the end that we get the cost of production out of our products. 5. Have a producer represent us at most of the leadiner markets to see that there is fair dealing at all times. j 6. Work at all times to keepj the American markets for American Amer-ican Industry and seek a fair trade with our foreign neighbors Instead of free trade. 7. Work to the end that we have a certain amount .of control con-trol at the main stock yards at all times. a Work with the feeders of our livestock and have them In our organization and assist them at all times in marketing their livestock. 9. Organize the counties and have a representative from each county; then select from them a committee to represent each state. 10. Keep ajl surplus cattle and other commodities on farm or ranch until such a time as the market would justify a sale. 11. Have the annual dues be one dollar ($1.00) per head for animals sold each year. 12. Issue each contributor a certificate of Interest as to what hm pay In. j Clannce Lamorecrax |
