Show I Elks Plan Bank Note Emancipation Party The BFOE No. 1556 Emanclpa. tlon party is to be held Saturday, March 17, at the Cedar City Elks lodge, according to Rex Harris, committee chairman of the event This promises to be a gala celebration, cel-ebration, culminating 27 years of labor, planning and saving for a permanent home. Highlight the agenda will be the burning of the note on the Elks lodge aJong with a short review to be given by Exalted Ruler Haldow E. Christensen. Harris stated that with the new home now completely free of debt, the Exalted Ruler and of-fleers' of-fleers' of the lodge felt that a free celebration would be In order for the lodge members. The party will get underway at 9:00 p. m. with a buffet lunch to be served from 10 until mid night. Invitations have been mailed to local members. Elks dignitaries, digni-taries, and neighboring lodges, Harris said, and a large gather-ing gather-ing will be on hand to witness the finest celebration the local Elks have had. Harris further stated that all eats, refreshments and dancing will be "on the house" and urged all Elks and their ladles to attend at-tend this big, free Emancipation Party. |
