Show Impressive Double Ring Candlelit Wedding Ceremony Unites Popular Cedar City Couple Mr. and Mrs. Gale Fife returned return-ed recently from a honeymoon trip to Las Vegas. Nev.. to make their home in Cedar City. The popular young couple, both graduates of the Cedar City High School class of 1955, were married mar-ried In an impressive double-ring double-ring ceremony performed in the LDS Institute of Religion on Saturday. Sat-urday. March 3. The ceremony-was ceremony-was conducted by Bishop Homer S. Jones of the Cedar Fifth Ward. Following the candlelight cere-mony cere-mony at twilight, a reception was held at the Institute honoring the couple. Mrs. Fife is the former Miss Elayne Green, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. DeVon Green of Cedar, City and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fife, also of Cedar City. Assisting the bride at the wed-ding wed-ding and throughout the reception recep-tion were Mrs. Douglas Middle-ton, Middle-ton, sister of the bride, as matron of honor; Miss Marlene Fife, sister sis-ter of the bridegroom, as maid of honor and bridesmaids. Mrs. La-Var La-Var Short. Mrs. Kent Huntington and Miss Vickie Taylor. j Piano music for the wedding occasion was pjayed by Miss Re-Nee Re-Nee Gentry and Miss Ferrol Dene Whatcott. Serving at the reception were Miss Jackie Winterrose and Miss Jeanette Flanigan. In the gift room were Mrs. Donald Milne, Miss Laura Let? Crosby, ind JuS-nita JuS-nita Hazel. The guest book was under the direction of Mrs. Sheldon Shel-don Hunter. Hostess was Mrs. Kenneth Im-lay. Im-lay. At the punch bowl was Mrs. Court Nelson and Mrs. Arnold Haider. In the kitchen were Mrs. Wayne Olds, Mrs. Fallas Olafson, Mrs. Corry Olson, Mrs. Wendell Wakeling. Both birde and groom were pop. ular students at the Cedar City High School. Mrs. Fife was presi-dent presi-dent of the Suah Kanne, pep organization or-ganization and was voted the "girl of the year." Gale was a prominent athlete participating on the school's foot, ball, basketball and track teams. |
