Show Local Flying Service To Demonstrate Newest in Aircraft Royce Knight, manager of the Parkair Flying Service at the Cedar Ce-dar City Airport, extended today an invitation to the residents of southern Utah to attend a special spe-cial demonstration and viewing of the latest in executive type aircraft to be held at the airport Saturday and Sunday, Mar. 17 and 18. Three planes, the Cessna 182 with the Land-o-matic gear, the "Hush Hush" 180, and the luxurious lux-urious new Twin Engine Cessna Model 310 will be shown. These three planes will be available for viewing and some demonstration rides will be given giv-en during the two-day showing. The three Cessna aircraft on display are the latest in the private and executive type of planes, featuring new interior designs, de-signs, safer construction and maneuverability ma-neuverability "almost like driving driv-ing controls." , According to Knight, "the landing, land-ing, taxiing, take-off characteristics, character-istics, make flying the Cessna 172 like driving." The Cessna 172 is a single engine en-gine aircraft with a land-o-matic tri-wheej landing gear with added visibility which features the "wrap around" windshields. The Cessna 310 is a twin-engined plane with a cruising speed of about 230 miles an hour and a range of 1500 miles. The third plane on display Is the Cessna 180 which is the same kind but of later design, as that now used by Parkair Flying Service. Ser-vice. It is' a single engine plane, larger than the 172 with more passenger room, more speed and more range. |
