Show Cedar Redmen Post Victory Over Enterprise I Cedar City baseball nine opened op-ened the Region 10 season Monday Mon-day afternoon in freezing temperatures, tem-peratures, but with an impres- ( sive 14 to 0 win over Enterprise, newcomer to the baseball league. A handful of local fans braved the cold weather to see the Red-men, Red-men, defending state champions in the class B ranks, hand the inexperienced Enterprise crew the walloping. Gary Anderson started on the mound for the Redmen. He hand- led the duties for the first two Innings. Facing six batters, he set five of them down with strikeouts and the sixth out came from the field, from shortstop to first base. Lory Mlsel, a product of the Little and Pony League programs in Cedar City and sophomore student at the school this year, took over the mound duties for the remaining five innings. Misel found himself in trouble on a number of occasions, but came through with fine pitching In a couple of tight spots to keep the Wolves from scoring. In his ' first Inning on the mound he loaded the bases with the first, I two men to face him getting on on errors. The third man single ! to fill the bases. Randall of Enterprise En-terprise hit to second on the next play and Jimmy Qulnn fielded the ball and threw one man out at home for the first out. Huntsman Hunts-man flew out to center for the second out and Misel posted his first strikeout against Chambers to end the inning. He collected five strikeouts in his five innings on the mound. Enterprise left 10 men stranded strand-ed on the bases during the seven innings of play and collected only three hits. All singles. I Redmen tallied 11 hits and II runs. Two of the hits were for extra bases, both doubles. The doubles were pounded out by Phil Yergensen in the second frame, and by Alex Rollo in the third. Today the Redmen travel to 'Hurricane to meet the Tigers in what is expected to be their toughest battle in the Region.
