Show Parowan Third Ward To Present Fund-Raising Dinner With the canvass for the sale of tickets for the Parowan Third Ward fund raising dinner to bo completed today, Thursday, the Relief Society of the ward will now take over and begin its activity ac-tivity in preparing the turkey dinner which is to be the main feature of the ward function. This turkey dinner will be held In the home economics department depart-ment of the Parowan High Schl on Saturday night, April 12 wiih serving to begin at 6 p. m. and continue until all present have; been fed, says Relief Scx'iety President, Cora Ward. j While the canvass for sale of dinner tickets may be over, the committee and the Relief Society, preparing the dinner state thnt preparations will be made to: handle a few more than ticket sales indicate will attend, and an invitation is extended to any' others who have not been contacted con-tacted by ticket sellers, to buy a ticket at the door, this invitation invita-tion is extended to members of the other wards in the stake who might want to attend. I A program nas been prepared for presentation continuously in the school auditorium, for the entertainment of those waiting to eat. numbers on the program will be an accordion duet by Michael Ward and Johnny Rorj-erson. Rorj-erson. a comedy song skit by George Williams. Meirill Brim-hall Brim-hall and Gene Kartchner, a solo by Hazel Meeks, a duet by Rula' D. Orton and Mary Dawn Dalton, a pantomime by Douglas Rowley and Joe Topham, a number by Marilyn Orton, small daughter of Ralph and Estelle Orton, and some numbers by a Barber Shop Quartet under the direction of Karl O. Mitchell. Movies will also be shown dur-' Ing the evening in connection with the program. J This is just one of several fund-! raising events to be used by the Third Ward to raise money to go toward the new recreation hall. Relief Society quarters and a Junior Sunday School, work on which will commence this spring If plans are completed. I |
