Equipment for tho Installation of channel 4 hns been purchased. However, additional money Is needed to pay the cost of Installation Instal-lation of equipment to put the signal "on the air" In this area. Several projects are planned and are being worked out to bring a better signal to the entire en-tire area. Efforts at the present time are being made to relay the boosted slpnal In the immediate area of Cedar City. A relay pickup has been placed on the "Knoll" Just north of the city. The signal, which Is received there will be strengthened and boosted to a higher frequency and then sent out over the area. When this has been completed viewers in and around Cedar City will pick up channel 5 on their receivers not only on channel chan-nel 5. but on eight as well. Five will pick up the Rlgnal thrown out by the booster In Beaver County and the channel 8 signal of channel 5 will be the boosted signal from the Knoll. Changing of the channel Is necessary to eliminate Interference Interfer-ence of the two signals for the same channel. |
