Show I "Sandwich In" A Canned Meat The canned meat shelf offers many a fine sandwich filling. Popular Popu-lar meats realy-to-use include: luncheon meat, Vienna sausage, ham and deviled ham. These meats in cans may also be ground and mixed with mayonnaise and chopped crisp vegetables for sandwich sand-wich spreads. Or a choice may be made from one of the ready prepared and seasoned deviled and potted spreads. Here are recipes for sandwich spreads calling for devil! ham and luncheon meat " Luncheon Meat Spread 1 cau (12 ounces) luncheon meat t cuy mayonnaise 1 cup finely diced celery 2 teaspoons lemon or 4 cup pickle relish line juice Grind luncheon meat; add celery and pickle relish. Combine mayonnaise and lemon juice; add to luncheon t?eat mixture. YIELD: Enough for 8 sandwiches. Ham NEgg Spread 1 can (4U ounces) A cup finely diced deviled ham celery 1 bard cooked egg, chopped Mayonnaise to moisten Combine all increments; mix welL YIELD: Enough for 4 sandwiches. sand-wiches. Vienna Ssusage Pizzas 8 English muffins Grated Parmesan A cup (1 stick) butter, melted cheese 2 cans (8 ounces each) tomato sauce Oregano 'l pound American or Mozzarella 2 cans (4 ounces ich) cheese Vienna sausage Cut English muffins in half; brush with approximately 3 tablespoons table-spoons butter. Toast until golden brown. Spread each muffin with a tablespoon of tomato sauce. Cover with slices of American or Mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and oregano. Spoon a teaspoon of melted butter on each pizza before putting in oven. Top with Vienna sausage. Bake in moderately hot oven, (400 F.) for 15 minutes. YIELD: 16 Party Pizzas. |
