Show Family of Nellie Dix Convenes For Special Reunion The family of Nellie M. Dix held open house Sunday, Sept. 1, from 4 to 6 p. m. in honor of her 75th birthday. Two hundred guests called during the afternoon. after-noon. Out-of-town guests were Mrs. Keith McArthur, St George; Mrs. Caeser Meyers, Pangultch; Mrs. Ida Anderson and Mrs. Carl Jameson, Kanab; Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Lowder, Dan Macfarlane, Parowan; Mr. and Mrs. Orval Wright and family. Hurricane; Ted Bird and Mr. and Mrs. Le Roy Dix, Henderson, Nev., Arthur Ar-thur M. Dix and family. Lake-wood, Lake-wood, Calif.; Louise Dix, Los Angeles. An-geles. From the northern part of the state came Mr. and Mrs. D. 'C. Dix and Nancy Grant of Lo gan. Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Dix and family, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Car-ter Car-ter and family, Mr. and Mrs. C L. Anderson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Gregory, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Mlddleton came from Salt Lake, while Mr. and Mrs. DeVon Green and Mr. and Mrs. Courtland Nelson were here from Murray. The local family mem-bers: mem-bers: Mr. and Mrs. Corry Olson, Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Olafson, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lowder, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fife were on hand to greet all of the callers. On Tuesday evening the immediate im-mediate members of the family were Invited by Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Olafson and Mr. and Mrs. Corry Olson to an outdoor barbecue bar-becue which was held on the patio pa-tio of the Olafson residence. The occasion was to honor Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lowder who are leaving Cedar City to make a new home In Salt Lake City. |
