Show Winners Announced In Farm Bureau Talent Final Program The annual Iron County Farm Bureau Talent Find contest was held Saturday evening as a lea-lure lea-lure of the Iron County Fair with parUcipants entered iroin every community in the county, tn-tries tn-tries in the event totaled 20 numbers, according to Connie Halterman, president of the local lo-cal Farm bureau Auxiliary. The participants were divided into two age divisions, with first and second place winners picked pick-ed in each division. Winner in the senior division was Mrs. Dick Nelson, of Midvalley, who sang a Negro Lullaby as a vocal solo. Winner of second place was Miss Virginia Topham, Parowan, who gave a musical reading. Winners In the Junior division . were the Misses Lila Joy and Kristine Halterman, daughters ol ' Mr. and Mrs. Lyle O. Halterman, ' i'arowan, who played a piano ' duet. Second place winner was Miss Mary Ann Palmer, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Palmer, Cedar City, who played a piano solo. Judges of the contest were from the Washington County or-ganization. or-ganization. First place winners will get an all-expense paid trip to Utah State Fair to participate in the state talent contest on Sept. 19 Mrs. Halterman states. All other contestants over six years ol age received an Eversharp ball point pen from the Farm Bureau Bur-eau auxiliary and those under six received story book dolls, also al-so given by the auxiliary. |
