Show County EPHUnit Reorganized By State Leader Reorganization of the Iron County committee for the "Em-ployment "Em-ployment of the Physically Handicapped," Hand-icapped," (EPH) was announced Friday morning at a meeting at the Employment Security offices In Cedar City. Here to conduct the meeting and announce the appointment of the committee was Dr. L. D. Harman, chairman of the Governor's Gov-ernor's Committee for EPH. Appointed as chairman of the Iron Countv EPH Committee was Carl Wasrauth. At Friday's meeting, purpose of the organization was explained explain-ed by Dr. Harmon. Iron County committee will be associated with the Governor's committee on the state level and with President Pres-ident Elsenhower's committee, under the direction of retired General Maws on the national level. To Assist Agencies Purpose of the committee is to "provide service that will fit4he handicapped for employment and to place them in Jobs," Dr. Harman stated. "These are local people, and we want to keep them within their own communities. commun-ities. That is why we are organizing organ-izing local committees to work with this group," he explained. The committee will be expected to work hand in hand with such agencies as the Employment Security, Se-curity, the State Rehabilitation group, the State Welfare, Veterans Veter-ans organizations, civic clubs, employers and employee organ-lzatlons. organ-lzatlons. One of the first projects of the new committee will be the organization or-ganization of "Employ the Phy-steal Phy-steal Handicapped Week," which will be observed throughout the nation October 7 through October Octo-ber 12.
