The Wilson Lund Family reunion re-union was enjoyed Saturday af-ternoon af-ternoon at Vermilion Castle In Parowan Canyon, with people being in attendance from Las Angeles, Southgate, Yucapia and Pomona, Calif.; Eager, Mesa and Kingman, Ariz.; Salt Lake City, Lehi, Provo, Meadow, Milford, Beaver, St. George, Modena, Ce-dar Ce-dar City, Parowan and Paragon-ah. Paragon-ah. An auction sale was a new feature affording a lot of fun as well as replenishing the coffers of the research fund. Sunday the group took part in church services in Paragnah, then retired re-tired to the Old Rock Church In Parowan where a delicious meal wes served and much talent was displayed In a program. Mr. and Mr3. T. A. Robinson, Sunday School teachers of the Gospel Doctrine class, invited Patriarch Oscar J. Hulet of Summit Sum-mit to take up the time In the class Sunday. His remarks were most interesting and the class members appreciated his appearance ap-pearance here. Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Thornton came from Salt Lake City to spend the holiday with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thornton and family. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Robinson and Mr. and Mrs. Wra. T. Daven-part Daven-part share joint grandparent honors to little Miss Robinson, who put In her appearance on Friday, Aug. 30 In Kanab. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Robinson are the proud parents. Mrs. Davenport went to Kanab to assist In the care of the other children, Allen and Wendy. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Paxton of Fillmore celebrated their Golden Gol-den Wedding anniversary Monday Mon-day evening at the stake house in Fillmore. Mrs. Paxton was the former Mary Jane Topham, daughter of Simon and Lucinda Topham who was born and reared rear-ed In this community until her marriage to Mr. Paxton. Relatives Rela-tives going from here to assist in honoring the Paxtons were Mr. and Mrs. J. Leonard Topham, Top-ham, Mrs. Alice Jones and her daughter, Claudia, Mrs. Myrtle r Abbott, Mrs. Lula Bastlan, Mr. and Mrs. William Boardman and family, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Boardman and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Gil-bert Robinson. Our young people made a fine showing at the Iron County Fair with their 4-H exhibits in cooking, cook-ing, clothing and vegetables. Mr. and Mrs. Ha Ivor Jones and daughter and DeWltt Jones spent a few days at the Page Ranch. Mrs. DeWitt Jones and small son spent the time In Washington with her Bailey folks. The "Handy Cooks," Mrs. Miriam Mir-iam Anderson's 4-H Club, bright-ened bright-ened the church Sunday with lovely fall flowers. Duane Lamoreaux was one of the participants who received applause at the Farm Bureau Talent Snow Saturday evening in Parowan. He entertained with a duo harmonica and guitar number. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Limb and daughter Sidney of Blackfoot Idaho, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Lund on Monday. Our elementary school students stu-dents went back to work Tuesday Tues-day for a nine month educational education-al program. Instructors are Miss Helen Stones, principal and the teacher of the lower grades with Mrs. Emma Dalton and Chester Benson, the latter of Summit, teaching the other grades. Wayne Covington of Salt Lake City spent a day or two at the Jones farm. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Hullinger of Mldvale were guests of Mrs. Hulllnger's sister, Mrs. Bertha Topham, Saturday through Mon-day. Mon-day. They enjoyed the P H S alumni dinner and all activities activi-ties connected with the Iron County Fair. Mrs. Lois Bryant I and daughter of Cedar City, join-ed join-ed the group Sunday afternoon i when they traveled to St. George to visit Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Topham Top-ham and family. The young people from our town who have been working at the parks this summer hove returned re-turned home to enter the Parowan Paro-wan High School.
