Show Lions Club Sponsors Annual Christmas Festivity I Lions Club members and their I families, festively costumed, met ! last week for their annual Family Fam-ily Christmas party. There were 216 people in attendance at a dinner served buffet style in the College of Southern Utah Student Center. After the repast, guests watched watch-ed wildlife films which were' shown by M. L. Christensen of the Forest Service. When every - ! one had gathered in the small ballroom after dinner and the films, a program was presented by Gae and Marilyn Stucki, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Rich- j ard Stack!; Kevin and Penny Av- erett, son and daughter of Mr. j and Mrs. Keith Averc tt; JoAnna Brown and ten students whose parents are Lions Club members. The Stucki children performed a ballet, while Kevin Averett sang "I'm Gettin' Nuttin" for Christmas" accompanied at the piano by his sister, Penny. Mrs. Brown gave a Christmas story and Orma Wood led a chorus of ten of her students in Christmas caroling. Group singing, directed by Mrs. Wood, led up to the arrival ar-rival of Santa Claus who distributed dis-tributed bags of candy to all the children. Co-chairmen from the Lady Lions, who planned the successful success-ful party were Donna Cooley, Fern Hunter and Gwen Stucki. |
