Show PARAGOMH NEWS NOTES ' By Hllma Lamoreaux Of Interest to many relatives In this area was the Friday wedding wed-ding of James Barry Robb and Miss Sylvia Boger who spoke their vows In the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Barry Is a son of Mr. and Mrs. James S. Robb of Salt Lake Cty and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. S. Walter Robb of Paragon- ah and of Mr. and Mrs. Arch Lamoreaux of FTrovo. Mrs. Irene Robinson traveled north Thursday with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Arch Lamoreaux, to be present at the temple wedding wed-ding and with other family, members was a guest at the wedding dinner which followed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. S. Walter Robb and the Ward Robb family of Cedar Ce-dar City traveled to Salt Lake Clty for the wedding reception which was held on Saturday evening eve-ning at the Crestwood Villa Reception Re-ception Center. Mrs. Robinson attended at-tended the reception also and returned re-turned with Mr. and Mrs. Robb to Paragonah Sunday. I DUP meeting will be held Thursday afternoon, Dec. 15 at the Thomas A. Robinson home. In addition to the usual lesson and history there will be special atractlons and a Christmas party. par-ty. All ladies are Invited to attend. at-tend. Amasa Stones traveled to Henderson, Hen-derson, Nev. Saturday, accompanied accom-panied by his son-in-law and daughter, Mj. and Mrs. Carlyle Mitchell of Cedar City. They spent the week end with the Clarence Lamoreaux family and returned home Sunday evening bringing Mrs. Stones back with them following her week's stay In Henderson. Mrs. Stella Edwards returned home the first of the week after being gone far some time. She had accompanied the Rex Harris family of Cedar City to Salt Lake City for the Thanksgiving holiday holi-day which was spent with the Dale Perkins and Ken Grlener families. Following that Mrs. Edwards Ed-wards was In Cedar City for a week with th Rex Harris faintly fain-tly while Mrs. Harris was In Salt Lake City with the (grlener family fam-ily who have a' new baby. Mrs. Hettie Ann Bentley and her three little boys are staying here for a time with Mrs. Gwen Jones. Mrs. Ella Cox of Salt l ake CI ty was a recent visitor to Paragon-ah Paragon-ah where she was a guest of Mrs. J. Lowe Barton. Mr. and Mrs. Clem Duncan of Meadow were Saturday visitors at the Wilson Lund home. They came to bring Mrs. Jane Patterson Patter-son to this area al'er several months In Meadow. Mrs. Eda Thornton, who Is spending the winter months In Cedar City, was here for the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo C Robinson Robin-son welcomed a baby girl at the Iron County Hospital Saturday. Big sisters Teresa and Cindy are in Parowan with grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Warren and the othei children are with paternal pa-ternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. D. Amasa Stones received word last week of the birth of a new granddaughter The baby was born on Nov. 29 to Mr. and Mrs. Milo Stones of Ogden. Henry Llnford of Henderson, Nev.. was a Sunday visitor In Paragonah. He was at the home of his sister-in-law Mrs. Gwen Jones to spend some time with her and the Marion Englesteads. Monday Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Galway and children of Salt Lake City visited briefly at the home of Mrs. Galway's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Robinson. Rob-inson. Boyd Robinson and 12 of his MIA Ensigns enjoyed a bowling party in Cedaj City Saturday evening. eve-ning. Afterwards the boys watch-tu watch-tu u,c fight and an enjoyable time was had by all. This was a special banner night and the next event of this kind Is a prospective pros-pective trip to Beaver for roller skating. Mrs. Edith Barton Is out again after being In bed for a time with a bad back ailment. Both Junior and senior Sunday Sun-day Schools participated In the Sunday evening service Dec. 4. A good crowd was present for the fine program presented. |
