Show Thought Provoking Suggestions Emerge From College Forum A "Retirement Center" where older people could maintain their dignity and usefulness while earning a living, and a series of hometown leadership conferences were among the constructive suggestions sug-gestions made Monday evening at the weekly College-Community Forum at CSU by townspeople townspeo-ple and students participating. .These, and many other solutions solu-tions to the problems of mobilizing mobil-izing human resources, especially especial-ly among the aging and the young people, came out of a series ser-ies of "brainstorming" sessions following introduction of the subject sub-ject The retirement center would be operated by the older people themselves, and would deal in useful products perhaps children's child-ren's toys for which there Is a ready market Local resovs could be used for these production produc-tion projects, it was suggested. Several other projects were described de-scribed by the working groups as possible ways for elderly people peo-ple to contribute importantly to the community while bettering their own lot College students from many communities in Utah and neart y states were challenged to spearhead spear-head movements to bring modest industries into being in their own areas, many of which are losing population and are in economic difficulties.
