Mr. and Mrs. Elvln Murle made a trip to Qrdervllle to visit Mrs. Murie's brother LaVoy Runt who has been called on an LDS mis- slon to California. Mrs. Glen Garfield surprised her husband on his birthday Friday, Fri-day, by having some of their friends in to a buffet supper nd to (srxnrt the evonine. I Miss Barbara Jones is spending the week with her friends and family. She came from Provo with her uncle Ruben Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer P. Loose of Seattle, Wash., visited here with relatives and friends. Roland Anderson returned home Monday after spending six days In Salt Lake City with his daughter, Lona. Lona underwent surgery In the LDS Hospital and Is now staying in Bountiful with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Baldwin so she can be near the doctor. Ivor Jones took a load of cattle cat-tle to Salt Lake City this week. Brent Jones went with him. The latter is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanford Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Max Maxwell and Carol Richardson took nine children of the ward to the temple tem-ple Saturday to do baptismal work. Mr. and Mrs. Hunter Gibson. Corale and Vyonne went to Los Angeles last Saturday. They returned re-turned home Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Cressel Sherratt attended the funeral for Sonja Halen In Ivlns Tuesday. Miss Ann Sherratt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orlan Sherratt. won first place in the M I A Stake speech festival. There were five couple from the ward who attended the party par-ty given by the California-Pacific Power Company for Ralph Thomas before he left Cedar 3ty. Dee WUcken made a business trip to St George on Saturday. Randy M. Grimshaw became one of the youngest Eagle Scouts In the country when he received his eagle award just one week after his 13th birthday at impressive impres-sive ceremonies at the Enoch ,Ward recreation hall at the monthly court of honor of the Brian Head District of Boy Scouts of America. Ry re!?y working tr attain 'this award" so young, he follows I in the footsteps of his elder brother bro-ther and his father, who have I also attained this rank; however, not at this young age.
