Show High School P. T. A. Starts Second Phase Of Community Survey The second phase of a community commu-nity survey being sponsored by the High School Parent-Teachers Association, will commence on Monday, Dec. 12, according to Mrs. Lucille Broadbent, president This survey, under the direction direc-tion of Mrs. LaPreal Lunt and with the cooperation of Larry Olson's secretarial office practice class at the high school, will cover the business district of Cedar Ce-dar City. The fMt part of the survey announced several weeks ago, and which Is continuing at this time, will be a comprehensive Inventory of Individual resources and skills of the community. The second program will constitute con-stitute a thorough canvass of business enterprises of the city by Mr. Olson's students. In the past, school people have made organized visits to points outside the classroom as an Integral In-tegral part of their academic work. In the future the school not only wishes to extend these study tours, or field trips, to include in-clude additional business enterprises, enter-prises, but also to offer to its (Continued on Pag Eight) PTA SURVEY (Continued from Front Page) youth opportunities for supervised supervis-ed work experiences In diversified diversi-fied occupations. Therefore the cooperation of the businessmen In this area Is sought to determine field trip possibilities and suitable work experience opportunities as the goal of the second phase of the survey. The Cedar City Chamber of Commerce is also aiding and cooperating co-operating in this endeavor. It was stated. Data sheets which the businessmen busi-nessmen have been asked to fill out will give pertinent information informa-tion on whom to contact, how trips and work experiences could be arranged along with information informa-tion on possible people who can talk relative to the business or industry which they represent I Other Information relates to age groups which would be most Interested in the materials and! opportunities. |
