Show State Tourist, Publicity Council Seeks Dates Utahns who are planning public pub-lic events for 1961 are urged to send details to the state Tour-! ist and Publicity Council at the State Capitol. If events are of general inter-est, inter-est, the council can do much to1 help publicize them to prospec-l tive visitors, according to D. James Cannon, director. As many i as 100.000 events calendars are distiibuted each year by his of- fire, Mr. Cannon said. Many of these are used as source mater-j ial by m(ia:?r.fcs and newspa- pers which publish their owni lists oi celebrations and special evente. These periodicals havei combined circulations running into millions. If exact dates are not yet known, tentative dates may be jsent hi now and the exact dates l can follow when they become known. |
