Many relatives and friends called at the John R. Lister home to extend good wishes. Most of Mrs. Lister's family traveled here sometime during the week end. Mr. and Mrs. La-vor La-vor Gale and children came from Beaver Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Lister and two sons came from Henderson for the week end. Edgar Lister was here from California Saturday. Mrs. Etta Goodwin was here from Las Vegas Ve-gas recently. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lister were here from St George Sunday. More distant relatives came in large numbers from Cedar Ce-dar City, Summit and Parawan, along with many friends. Walter Robb and Lester Williamson Wil-liamson are in the hospital at Panguitch receiving treatment for severe Injuries suffered In an automobile accident which occur-ed occur-ed north of Panguitch Saturday evening. Luckily the two men escaped death as the Robb automobile auto-mobile was demolished in the wreck, which involved a parked car and some large trees. Mrs. Ethel Robb, who is in poor health has gone to stay with her son Ward and his family in Cedar City while Mr. Robb is in the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Prothero took a trip north last week end. Lewis had business in Salt Lake City, snd Alene went as far as Onn where she stayed overnight with her sister,. Mrs. Pat Close and fan'j Mr. and Mrs. Vern Kite of Hooper, Utah visited here over night last Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Bill Perks. The four were enroute to Los Angles on a vacation vaca-tion trip. Mr. and Mrs. Fay Stewart of Hiko, Nevada, arrived here Saturday Sa-turday for a week end visit with Mrs. Stewart's brothers, Joe, Er-rol, Er-rol, Clark, Clair and Kay Lam-oreaux Lam-oreaux and their families. Mrs. Rayma Clark and son Greg spent the week end here visiting with Mr. and. Mrs. Earl Thornton and Lynn. Conrad came from Cedar City Sunday to visit for a time and take his family home again. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Robinson Robin-son left for Salt Lake City Saturday Sa-turday for a few days visit with the H. N. Harris nad El win Talbot Tal-bot families. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Walker, Mrs. Eda Thornton and Mrs. Eliza Owens were here from Cedar Ce-dar City Sunday to visit with the Earl Thornton family and others. Mr. and Mrs. Cluff Jolley and children of Cedar City were Sun-1 lay visitors here with Donna's people the H. Revere Robinsons. Legrande Robb and son Eugene Eu-gene were here from Ogden to spend the week end with the Will Robb and Douglas Davenport Daven-port families. Sidney Reese left for his home in San Mateo, Calif. Friday after af-ter visiting here for two weeks with his sister, Mrs. Nellie Dal-ton. Dal-ton. Mr. and Mrs. Max Edwards of Redding, Calif., are in Utah for several weeks visit. They have been here with Mr. Edwards' parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Edwards Ed-wards and now are spending some time in the Provo area with Edna's relatives. They will be back in Paragonah for a time before be-fore returir.g to California. Mr. and Mrs. Fay Robb and Mrs. Geneva Jones were here from Cedar City Sunday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Clark Robb and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lister and Mrs. Francis Lister of Cedar City visited here Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Will Robb. The Ralph Edwards family of Cedar City visited here Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. John Leffler of Westminster, Calif., are here for a week's stay in their summer home. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Engle-stead Engle-stead are here from St. George until after Memorial Day. Their daughter, Mrs. Gwen Jones, has gone on a trip to Pocatello, Idaho. Ida-ho. She left Saturday with the Rodney Bentleys xf .Faowan,.., Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Robinson and their six children have left our community after living here the past few years. They have completed an extei.ulve remodeling remodel-ing project on their home In Pa rowan and have returned there to live. Miss Helen Stones, Mrs. Sarah Stones and Mrs. Lula Bastlan traveled to Panguitch on Sunday to visit with the Wallace Miller family. The Primary organization held its regular Inservice meeting on Thursday of last , week at the home of Mrs. Gwen Jones, Stake Primary President Mrs. Veda Adams of Parowan attended the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Himstreet and Mrs. Merrill Edwards ar-lved ar-lved here from Salt Lake City the first of the week after learning learn-ing of the death of their brother, Mr. Claude Edwards of Cedar City. -. Mr. and Mrs. Himstreet are here with their sister, Miss Gladys Edwards. Ronald Smith and Miss Cherle Richards of Parowan were the visiting speakers in Sacrament meeting on Sunday. Elder Smith recently returned from a mission to California. His mother, Mrs. Dott Smith and his brother. Larry, Lar-ry, attended meeting here also. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lamoreaux entertained at a family gathering gather-ing and dinner on Saturday evening eve-ning in honor of the birthday of their daughter, , Miss Joan Mortensen of- Parowan. . Present were Mrs. Gnvtha Benson and daughter Kathryn of Beaver, Mr. and Mrs. Robin Lamoreaux and Mr. and Mrs. Duane Lamoreaux Lamor-eaux of Cedar City and the Ronald Ro-nald Mortensen family. Mr. and . Mrs. Duane Klamm and baby of Salt Lake City were Sunday visitors at the Wilson Lund home. They came to see Mrs. Klamm's grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Maxwell. Lanell Topham and his fiance Miss Claudia Clayson , of Salt Lake City were here Sunday. They visited with Lanell's mother, moth-er, Mrs. Bertha S. Topham and Lanell kept a speakin? engagement engage-ment In the Parowan First Ward. Mr. and Mrs. Alden Hyatt and their five children . of Lander, Wyo., arrived here on Friday for a tew day's visit with their people peo-ple and to attend the graduation exercises of Parowan High School. Both Mr. and Mrs. Hyatt have brothers who are members of the graduating class. The visitors are dividing their time between the Clifton Stones home here and the Chester Hyatt home n Parowan. , Mrs. Bertha S. Topham has received re-ceived word that her son, Ivan, was taken to the hospital In St George last week with bleeding ulcers. |
