Show Open House Honors Barbara Adams On 80th Birthday With all of her children except ex-cept one present, all of her brothers bro-thers and sisters on hand and almost al-most 200 other relatives and friends calling on her, Mrs. Bar-Bara Bar-Bara M. Adams, highly respected resident was honored on her 80th birthday last Wednesday afternoon. after-noon. An open house In honor of the occasion was arranged by her children, from 3 to 6 that afternoon, after-noon, and people came from Cedar Ce-dar City, Paragonah, Enterprise, Summit, the Escaiante Valley and other surrounding towns to greet Mrs. Adams on her birthday birth-day and to wish her many more of the same. The only member of her immediate im-mediate family not present was Mrs. Jerry J. (Ruth) Halterman, Modesto, Calif. On hand and helping with the open house were Mr. and Mrs. LcRoy Adams, Parowan, Par-owan, Mr. and Mrs. F. H. (Lillian (Lil-lian Grimshaw. Mr. and Mrs. Forrest (Barbara) Bryant, Enoch and Midvalley, respc 'vr'-- .ind Mr. and Mrs. Norman Atiar.u of Cedar City. Coming from Goshen were Mr. and Mrs. Ken Matheson to join the other brothers and sister, Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Matheson, Mr. and Mrs. Bain Matheson, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Ward and Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Miller. Mrs. Jeanette Bayles and Miss Sherry Wheatley furnished background back-ground music for the open house and special numbers were as follows: fol-lows: a poem paying tribute to Mrs. Adams, written and read by Wm. T. Davenport, Paragonah; and vocal solos by Pres. Howard n. Knlffht mnrt V P Van R..rri accompanied on the piano by Miss Ruth Ann Knight. |
