Show Parowan Residents Prominent in Beaver Armory Dedication A number of Parowan residenU had prominent parts In preparing for and the dedication of the new $135,000 National Guard Armory Ar-mory at Beaver Saturday, Mjy 18 evening, it Is reported to us by Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Gurr, who were In attendance. The dedication began with a program from 7 to 9 p. m. and then dancing at the new armory until 12 midnight Lt. James J. Benson was the general chairman chair-man In charge of arrangements. He also was in charge of posting post-ing the colors and gave the welcoming wel-coming remarks. CWO. Charles H. Gurr, who. will, his family will move to Beaver where he will be sta tioned at the new armory as an officer In the Beaver Unit of the Guard, was chairman of the finance fi-nance committee and gave the dedicatory prayer. I Included in the list of honored guests at the dedication along with MaJ. Gen. Maxwell E. Rich, who gave the dedicatory address, were Lt. Col. Max S. Dal ley. commander com-mander of the 222nd Artillery with batteries in southern Utah cities, and Col. Frank Dalley. |
