Show CSU Offers New i Two-Year ! Training Program A new two-year preparation training program for peace offi-cer offi-cer and law enforcement personnel person-nel has been announced this week at College of Southern Utah by Prof. Mel Roper, chairman of the Technical and Semi Professional Profes-sional Division. The program will begin next fall quarter with the regular college col-lege schedule and is designed to train both girls and boys to fill positions with municipal police I lorces, snenn departments, high-way high-way patrol, state police forces, industrial security departments, retail security departments, military mili-tary police fields and others. Mr. Roper pointed out the great need for women in many areas in secretarial fields and other departments de-partments In connection with police work. Course will include the following follow-ing subjects: introduction to law enforcement, criminal investigation, investiga-tion, police self-defense, criminal law, police supervision and public pub-lic relations, criminal evidence, first aid, political science, psychology, psy-chology, criminal procedures and pubic safety. Graduates will receive re-ceive a regular two-year certificate certi-ficate and college credit.
