Show Dr. Boyd K. Parker Will Speak to Graduates, Final Week Closing Ceremonies Scheduled i . Commencement exercises for 56 Upper and 162 Lower Division graduates will be held at College Southern Utah Thursday, June 6 at 7 p. m. in the CSU Auditorium The Academic Procession from Old Main to the Auditorium will begin at 6:30 p. m. Commencement speaker will be Dr. Boyd K. Packer, Assitant to the Quorum of the Twelve of the Church or Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints. Dr. Royden C. Braith- waite, CSU Director, will conduct con-duct the program which will include in-clude reports on the college by Dr. Daryl Chase, President of Utah State University and Dr. Braithwaite. The CSU Symphony Orchestra will play the Egmont Overture uy Bceiiioven under tne direction of Prof. Roy L. Halversen and will provide processional and recessional re-cessional music. The CSU Chorale Chor-ale with Brass and Percussion Choirs will perform a special arrangement ar-rangement of "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" with Dr. Blaine Johnson conducting. Dr. Joseph Fillerup, chairman of the CSU Education Department, Depart-ment, will present the candidates for Bachelor of Science degrees. Richard Gillies, Dean of Students, will present two-year graduates receiving certificates as Associates Associ-ates in Science. President Chase will award diplomas to all graduates. grad-uates. The Commencement invocation will bo "ffered by Lee G. Sher-ratt, Sher-ratt, i;ra.'uate with the class of 1963. The benediction will be given by President Elihu What-cott What-cott of the Cedar LDS Stake. Members of the CSU Sponsor Corps will serve as ushers. A reception for CSU graduates and their families, members of the Utah State University Board of Trustees and other special guests will be held on the patio east of the Student Center Cafeteria Cafe-teria at 9 a. m. following the Commencement program.
