Show PARAGO'lAH HEWS NOTES Mrs. HUma Lamoreaux Bishop Boyd Robinson and his counselors, Kay Lamoreaux and Myron Abbott, made a trip to Salt Lake City Saturday to meet with some of the general authorities author-ities of the church and receive their ordinations. They were met there by Stake President Howard Knight,. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Lamoreaux and family. Miss Sonya Smith and Mrs. and Mrs. William T. Davenport, left for Payson Friday for the first part of a vacation trip. They were to attend a Wade family reunion at the Saratoga resort Saturday. They planned to travel to Salt Lake City to visit the Kay Hansen family, to Og-den Og-den to visit the Victor R. Robin, sons, to Monteplier, Idaho, for a visit with the Cal Smiths, In addition ad-dition to the Byron Montagues at Payson. Mr. and Mrs. Orlo Topham arid Mrs. Eliza Norton have had a nur.iber of visitors recently. Their son Jay Stolk and his wife and children have been visiting here from Ely. Nevada, and returned home Sunday. Last week numerous num-erous other family members were here. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Norton of Marysvale were in town for a day. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hastings and son Dell and his wife and two children were here from Las Vegas for three days. Mrs. James McClarey and Mrs. Kathleen Goodson came from St. George. The Gale Stolk family of Paro-wan Paro-wan Joined the group for some activities which included an outing out-ing at Five Mile in addition to some evening parties at the Top-ham Top-ham home. Clinton Topham is in Salt Lake City visiting with relatives for a time. Mrs. Myrtle Abbott had her entire en-tire family with her the past week end. The Tom Abbott family of Murray arrived here Saturday for an overnight stay. Also on Saturday the Butterfield family arrived from Ogden for a week's visit Members of the Howard Rasmussen fn.iily tame from Parowan and Uis locr.l members Joined the group. Paul and Carol Butterfield and their children will be leaving for Wisconsin -on August IS. Paul has a three year fellowship at the University of Wisconsin for special study in the field of adult education. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Stones and two children of Ogden arrived here Friday for a week end visit with Milo's parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. Amasa Stones and the other family members In this area. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Abbott and their son Lee and daughter Donna left for Salt Lake City early Sunday. Little Donna was to enter the children's hospital for foot surgery which was scheduled for Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Dalton left fir Salt Lake City Saturday to spend the week end and the 24th holiday holi-day with the Willis Inglesby family. Mr. and Mrs. Orson Talbot were happy to have a number of their family with them for the week end, Mr. and Mrs. Justin Fairbanks and their chlllren, and Ardell Talbot were here from Salt Lake City and Neil came from Kanab. Saturday the entire group traveled to Beaver to attend at-tend the family reunion of Mrs. Jane Gale and descendants. Sixty-four family members were present Mr. and Mrs. Renford Talbot and son Jerry traveled to Beaver Saturday to attend the Jane Gale family reunion. Miss Helen Stones arrived home Friday after being In Provo for five weeks' summer schooling at Brigham Young University. Mrs. Lasca Hunt and daughters daugh-ters Janet and Mildred returned home to Paragonah Tuesday of last week following a visit with the Bernell Hunt family. Janet has been there since early in June. Three of Bernella's children child-ren returned to Paragonah with them and will visit here for awhile. The Ralph Edwards children of Cedar City visited here with relatives for the week end. Their parents were on a trip to Las Vegas. Orval Lamoreaux of St George arrived here Sunday for an over night visit with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Burton and their two children of Logan arrived here Friday for a visit with the Errol Lamoreaux family. fam-ily. Donald will stay only a few days but Laura and the children will remain for two weeks. Sunday Sun-day the Burtons and Mr. and Mrs. Lamoreaux attended a family fam-ily reunion at Pangultch Lake, which brought members of the Worthen family together for the day. Mr. and Mrs. Alan Nielsen and small son are visiting here from Salt Lake City with the Arthur Evans family. Sunday the Nielsen Niel-sen and Eva, is families attended attend-ed the Worthen family reunion at Pangultch Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Boardman enjoyed an overnight visit from Leh Jean's sister, Mrs. Margaret Margar-et Kitchen and members of her family last week. Mrs. Hazel Dawn Evans entertained enter-tained the members of her club at her home Wednesday evening of last week. Mrs. Gaytha Benson and daughters Gay Lynn and Kath-ryn Kath-ryn of Beaver were overnight visitors vis-itors at the Joe Lamoreaux home Wednesday of last week. With other family members thoy attended at-tended the birthday celebration of Miss Ada Robinson which was held at the Robinson home. Lee Arlen and Lynn Kay Topham Top-ham traveled to Salt Lake City Wednesday of last week to visit for a time with their brothers 1 Kenneth and Joe and to attend the wedding of their cousin Sandra Miller, who was married Friday. Mr. and Mrs. George A. Topham Top-ham and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth G, Topham attended an reunion of the Smith family Saturday. The affair was held at the Woods Ranch In Cedar Canyon. |
