Show School Board Completes Sale of Bldg. Bonds j First Security Bank of Utah, and five associates were named as bonding agents for one million mil-lion dollars by the Iron County School District following a bid opening Thursday evening. The -First Security bid was the low bid of four submitted, according ac-cording to Howard Dalley, district dis-trict clerk. The four bids representing repre-senting several organizations. The award went to First Se-C-uiiiy Bank with a low bid of 2.893237 percent The figure represents rep-resents the average interest w be paid on the bonds to the agency for handling the sale. Other bids were as follows: United Uni-ted California Bank and five associates, as-sociates, 2.958029 percent; Com merce Trust Co. and six associates associ-ates of Kansas City. Mo. 2.92640 percent and the Edward Burton Bur-ton Co. and associates Salt Lake City 2.9936 percent The bonds will be redeemed over a 13 year period and will be retired in 1971, Mr. Dalley stated. The one million dollars in bonds are the final bonds authorized au-thorized by the vote of Iron county property owners authorizing author-izing $2,900,000 bonding for the principal purpose of building the new Cedar City High School. The transaction, when completed will complete the sale' of the total authorized bonded indebtedness for the district. |
