Show Parowan Club Joins District Riders In Meet Competition Plans are completed and all is In readiness for the big District Dis-trict Nine riding clubs meet to be held at the Parowan City race track on Saturday, July 28, it is announced by Vyonne D. Chamberlain Cham-berlain of the club advertising committee. The five clubs of this district of the Utah State Western Riding Clubs Assn., from Hurricane, St. George, Marys vale, Pangultch and Parowan will be in competition compe-tition with each other, vying for t trophies and a berth in the regional reg-ional meet. The regional meet will be held In Richfield Aug. 10 and 11 with the Monroe club as host club. Winners In this show will compete In the state finals to be held in conjunction with the Utah State Fair on SeDt. 7 and 8. There will be three sections of the Saturday meet, the first beginning be-ginning at 10 a. m. This section will Include three pleasure horse classes, stock horse class, plus the water, potato and keyhole races with the Judges for the Judged events, during the day. to be Jack Stanger and Jim Nixon. Nix-on. The afternoon section will include in-clude five horse races, calf cutting, cut-ting, pole bending and barrell races. At 6:30 p. m. a parade f all contestants on their horses, will be staged down First East Street where they will execute street maneuvers as they parade back to the race track. This will be followed by arena drills, ribbon pull, pony express race, trailer races and wild cow milking. Also Al-so at this evening show a drawing draw-ing will he held to determine the winner of a saddle bring given away by the district. One admission ticket is good for all three sessions of the show and the Red Hill Wranglers, host club, and district Nine cordially invite the pubic to attend this outstanding equestrian event, one that is comparatively new In this area. |
