Show Cedar City to Host Pony League Tourney 26 to 28 A three-team, three-day Pony League baseball tournament will be held In Cedar City Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Participating will be All-Star teams from the Cedar City League, which is comprised of five teams; the Tri-City League, made up of teams In Kanab, Or-dervllle Or-dervllle and Fredonia, Ariz., and the Richfield League. Pairings were announced for the opening round of play with the Cedar City team drawing a bye. The first game of the tourney tour-ney will match Richfield against Tri-City and the game will be played Thursday evening at 8 p. m. at the Cedar City Lions Pony League Park. Two games are on tap for Friday Fri-day with the Cedar City crew matched in both. At 3 p. m. Friday Fri-day the Cedar All-Stars will play the loser of Thursday's game between be-tween Richfield and Tri-City. At 8 p. m. that same day Cedar City will play the first day winner. At the conclusion of the second day each of the teams will have completed two games. Saturday at 3 p. m. a fourth game will be scheduled, allowing for another 8 p. m. game Saturday should it be necessary. In order for any team to be eliminated from a possible championship cham-pionship In the tourney it must lose two games. Several situations could develop going into Saturday's action, those in charge pointed out. It could be possible for all three teams to have identical win-loss records of 1 and 1. Or one of the teams might be eliminated. In either event the need for two games is a possibility. The All-Star team for Cedar City is being coached by Cleo Petty with Vee Wadsworth as assistant as-sistant Both handled teams during dur-ing the regular season play. Team members include Curtis Anderson, Brent Averett Bruce Holmes, Mark Hunter, Brad Isom, Wynn Isom, David Jensen, Glade McArthur, David Myers, Milo Petty, Steven Piatt Gerry Roberts, Ro-berts, Robert Smith, Mike Taylor, Roger Stratton.
