Show Donor will Contribute 20th Pint When Bloodmobile Visits Cedar City July 31 Miss Rosle Graff of Cedar City will be among the donors who will contribute a pint of blood at the visit of the Utah Blood Procurement Pro-curement division of the Red Cross to be made In Cedar City on Tuesday, July 31. For Miss Graff the donation on that date will have a special significance sig-nificance for it will be her 20th contribution of blood to the Red Cross program two and one-half one-half gallons over the past 10 year period. The mobile unit will be set up In the basement of the BPOE Lodge No. 1556 at 100 East and 200 North and will be in operation opera-tion from 2 to 7 p. m. A quota of 150 pints has been set for the regular visit of the unit and those in charge have asked that everyone who can come out and support the program. pro-gram. As a special Incentive the Cedar Ce-dar Bowling Lanes has offered to donate a free line of bowling to all donors during the drive and a card will be presented as they contribute. Miss Graff began participating In the Red Cros blood program 10 years ago during one of the regular visits to Cedar City. Since that time she has continuously continu-ously contributed, Including a six year period while serving in the U. S. Air Force at Waco, Tex. She relates that at one time while In the service she was asked ask-ed to contribute a pint a blood during an emergency Just two weeks following a regular donation dona-tion at the blood center there. Since returning to Cedar City she has been a regular contributor contribu-tor at all visits of the bloodmobile bloodmo-bile which is twice each year. Tom Challis, procurement chairman for Cedar City, suggests sug-gests that "Miss Graff has set a commendable example which every citizen who can contribute blood should follow." |
