Optometric Confab Attended by Dr. M. F. Burgess Dr. M. F. Burgess of Cedar City attended the annual convention of the Utah Optometric Association Associa-tion in Salt Lake City April 17, 18 and 19. Two of the three days of the convention were devoted to educational edu-cational meetings, with the opening day devoted to business. The annual banquet was held Saturday night. The theme of the convention was "Motorists' Vision", Jay C. Newman, commissioner of public safety for Utah, was the speaker speak-er at the banquet. Edwin D. Fletcher, director of research and chief examiner, division of drivers driv-ers licenses of California, and Dr. Kenneth 11. MacPherson, immediate immed-iate past chairman, committee on motorists vision American Optometric Opto-metric association were the principal prin-cipal speakers. While at the convention Dr. Burgess participated in a forum with Dr. Fletcher and Dr. MacPherson.
