Show Music Students Plan District Festival Attendance on May 2 Music students of the Cedar City junior and senior high schools" arc busy preparing for participation in the Region Six Music Festival to be hold in St. George on Saturday, May 2. The festival was to have been held in Parowan on that date, but because of the fact that the Parowan Paro-wan high school building is under un-der extensive remodeling the festival fes-tival was moved to St. George. It is understood that two bands, an orchestra and two chorus gmips will comiK'te in the annual an-nual festival contests this year. The junior and senior high school bands under the direction of A. B. Larson, will compete in three fields, playing, sight reading read-ing and marching. The high school orchestra directed by It. L. Halversen, will compete in playing and sight reading. A mixed chorus from the high school and one from the junior high school, both under the direction di-rection of Albert D. Rich, will compete in the annual event. |
