P-TA Central Council Elects Officers For Next School Year The Parent-Teachers Association Associa-tion central council met Monday afternoon to hear committee reports re-ports on the year's activities and to elect officers for the 1953-54 school year. Newly elected officers include: Mrs. D. G. Cowan, president; Mrs. Lamont Bennett, vice president, and Mrs. Elwyn Halterman, secretary. sec-retary. Installation of the new officers will be held May 11 at an evening eve-ning meeting in the West elementary ele-mentary auditorium, to which, all parents are invited and urged to attend. Dr. Daryl Chase, director di-rector of Branch Agricultural college col-lege will be the guest speaker at this meeting. A vote of thanks was extended to Mrs. Boyd Smith, retiring t-TA t-TA president fr an outstanding and successful year's program. This vote of thanks was also' extended ex-tended to Mrs. Sherwin Brad-shaw,, Brad-shaw,, vice president, and Mrs. Frank Mi'nv secretary.
