Alice Judd, 16, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clem Judd, Cedar City, was killed when she was pinned pin-ned beneath the rolling automobile. auto-mobile. George Goddard. 22, own er and driver of the car suffered severe lacerations of the head, and Miss Charzade Turnbeaugh, 16, suffered only shock and bruises. Mr. Goddard and Miss Turnbeaugh are recovering satisfactorily. satis-factorily. The car is reported to be a complete loss. The accident occurred as Goddard God-dard lost control of the car as it passed over a culvert covering an irrigation stream crossing the road. The car swerved to the left, struck a soft shoulder then spun sideways in the road, skidding skid-ding along the roadway for 48 feet, according to officers reports, and then rolled over several times, coming to rest with the Judd girl pinned beneth. Miss Judd was born in Cedar City Feb. 3, 1937, a daughter of Clem and Agnes Mosdell Judd. She was a sophomore student at the Cedar City high school and had been active in church affairs in her ward. She is survived by her parents, three brothers and two sisters, Dell Judd, Stephen Judd, Mrs. Granville (Ina) Nelson, Cedar City; Mrs. Duncan (Shirley) Gardner, Mldvale, and Kenneth Judd, in Korea serving with the U. S. Army. Funeral services are being conducted con-ducted in the Cedar Third ward chapel this afternoon and burial will oe in the Cedar City cemetery. |
