Names Cast for Musical "Comes Spring," Due March 12-14 -r .4 f t CHRISTINE HOUCHEN f , i : 3, it .'; r " ",f : I4 J NORMAN WHITE The cast for the forthcoming Branch Agricultural college spring musical, "Comes Spring," was announced this week by Joan Isbell, show committee member. The production is scheduled sched-uled for March 12, 13 and 14. Based on an original story by three students at BAC, the show, with lyrics and music written writ-ten by Mrs. Miriam K. Stallings, Salt Lake City, will star Norman White, Cedar City; Christine Houchen, Cedar City, and Dix Cloward, Monroe. Miss Houchen and Mr. Cloward, Clow-ard, romantic leads will be supported sup-ported by Anne Okerlund Leavitt, Cedar City, and Kent E. Myers, Minersville. Elaine Gardner, Delta; Del-ta; Marilyn Carpenter, Cedar City, and Allison Smith, Cedar City, will portray three old maids. Mr. White's role is. a character part. Barbara Sherratt, Cedar City, Winston Christensen, and Jimmie Riddle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rixey Riddle, Cedar City, round out the cast. The students' show committee, headed by Anne Ashcroft and Jerry Sherratt, Cedar City, and Joan Isbell, Richfield, will direct the production. Marlon Sevy, Cedar Ce-dar City, is stage manager. A dancing chorus, a 20-voice singing chorus and a special 16-piece 16-piece orchestra will take part in the production. Leslie Schrandr, Cedar City, will design four sets for the show. Ticket sales will be handled by Allison Smith, a member of the cast. Lucy Green, Cedar City, is in charge of publicity. publi-city. Prof. Richard Rowley will serve as faculty advisor. The Agricola, B. A. C. yearbook, with David Ensley as editor, is I sponsoring the production. Prof Roy L. Halversen will direct the orchestra, while Wallace Adams is in charge of the singing chorus. |
