Show Club Notes By Mrs. Ralph Box Thursday was the evening of merry making for the members of the Ladies of Elks, who are still talking about the fun they had at the Elks club room. The affair began with a candlelight supper served in a colorful holiday holi-day setting. Music was played during the supper. Gifts were exchanged ex-changed by the 50 members present. pres-ent. Preparing for the party and for Santa's visit was Mrs. Law-irenee Law-irenee Lowder, assisted by Mrs. Warren Bulloch, Mrs. Kenneth Imlay, Mrs. Jack Strait, Mrs. Norman Nor-man Blade, Mrs. J. D. Dockstader, Mrs. Vander Nelson, Mrs. Glen Heaton and Mrs. Errol Woodbury. Wood-bury. The Beta Sigma Phi members ushered in the holiday season with a dinner party at the home of Mrs. Mel Cowley Wednesday evening. A Christmas theme set the color note in the eye catching table decorations which featured a Yule centerpiece fashioned with ornaments. Mrs. Robert Linford was social chairman. Gifts were exchanged by the guests and cards were played. Refreshments were arranged by Miss Beth Talbot, Tal-bot, Mrs. Whitney Jensen, Miss Dorthey Williamson, Mrs. Arden Hirschl, Mrs. Grant Seaman and' Mrs. Paul Cason. The club calendars glow with descriptibns of gala social affairs. af-fairs. Thursday afternoon the members of the Wei-Ak-Avi held their annual Christmas party at the home of Mrs. William Snow. Refreshments were served and gifts were exchanged. When the members of the Brdigc club were entertained on Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Demar Bowman, Mrs. Lo-vina Lo-vina Jones of Salt Lake City, Mrs. , John Beal, Mrs. Don Draper, Mrs. , L. V. Broadbent and Mrs. Florence Flor-ence Cardon were special guests. ' A tasty dessert luncheon was followed fol-lowed by bridge. The home of Mrs. Criss Mason, Sr., was the center of genial hos-1 hos-1 pitality when the members of the ' Canasta club gathered to enjoy a pot-luck supper Thursday af- ternoon. Twelve members exchanged ex-changed Christmas gifts. |
