Show Cedar City Lions To Participate In Salt Lake Meet Pratt Bothers, Cedar City, governor gov-ernor of Linns district 2S-II and Utah cabinet chairman, has been chosen to serve as master of ceremonies cere-monies at the Utah Lions club annual midwinter banquet scheduled for Jan. 14 at the New-house New-house hotel in Salt Lake City. Also, the Cedar City Lions quartet quar-tet will appear on the program by special reque.it, according to an announcement by Gordon Christensen, cabinet secretary of the state Lions organization. The banquet will honor Lions International President Harold P. Nutter. Camden, N. J. More than 1000 Utah members of the club are expected to attend. At the same time the men's banquet is held, COO Lady Lions from auxiliaries throughout the state will hold a banquet at the Hotel Utah in honor of the wife of the international president, Mr. Christensen said. The Cedar City quartet has been asked to appear ap-pear at the ladies' dinner, also. Prior to the Lady Lions banquet, ban-quet, wives of the governors of Utah's four Lions districts will be in the line at a reception in honor of Mrs. Nutter. They are Mrs. Bothers, Mrs. A. Elwin Seely, Brigham City; Mrs. Weldon Matthews, Mat-thews, Magna, and Mrs. Wesley Walton, Ileber City. The Cedar City Lions quartet is comprised of II. M. Neeley, Reed Roberts, Howard wood and Gene Palmer. Reed Berrett will be their accompanist. |
