Show NEWCASTLE A Christmas play, "Christmas Eve In Korea," written and arranged ar-ranged by the Newcastle' school teacher, Shirley Esplin, assisted by the MIA officers and school children, was presented to the public in the church Thursday night, Dec. 27. After the play Santa Claus appeared and distributed dis-tributed candy and nuts. Singing of Christmas carols, and dancing concluded a very pleasant evening. eve-ning. Scott Tullis is home from Eu. reka to spend the Christmas holidays holi-days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Tullis, and other relatives and friends. A Christmas social was enjoyed by the Relief Society sisters Wednesday Wed-nesday of last week in place of the regular meeting. A very lovely program of story and song was presented after which gifts were exchanged and refreshments refresh-ments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Seals and family of Tooele are here to spend the holidays with Mrs. Seals' mother, Mrs. Effie Beach-am. Beach-am. Thomas W. Forsyth has gone to Garland to spend the Christmas holidays with friends. Miss Shirley Esplin, Newcastle school teacher, is spending the holidays with her parents in Or-derville. |
