Show Rep. Granger Cites Need for Real Christian Living Genuine Christmas spirit--the application of Christianity to life Is the only solution to the problems and troubles of the world, Representative Walter K. Granger declared Thursday, Dec. 20, in an address before assembled assem-bled students at Branch Agricultural Agricul-tural college. The assembly, sponsored by the L D S Institute of Religion at the college, was the institute's annual Christmas program. Rep. Granger challenged students stu-dents to give the Christ-like way of living a real try, since, he said, only in that way would they know that "the spirit loosed in the eath 2000 years ago is still living". Mrs. Virginia Larson gave a short talk on "The Tradition of the Bells", supplying the background back-ground of the carillon recently installed at BAC. Also appearing on the program pro-gram were the Rainbow Singers, a trio comprised of Mrs. Gladys Isom, Mrs. Nada Gardner, and Mrs. Luana Riddle, who sang several Christmas numbers. They were accompanied by Mrs. Mary Jane Seaman. Larry Jones gave the opening prayer, while Joseph Bishop led the group in closing the program pro-gram with Christmas carols. Gustive O. Larson, director of the Institute of Religion, was in charge. |
