Show Parowan Rams Split Six Pre-season Basketball Games With three-fourths of their pre-season practice games played Coach Bruce Decker's Parowan high school Rams have split even in the six games so far. The I arowan high school squad won from Gunnison and Piute high school teams the first week end in December. The next week end the Rams were beaten by the Lincoln County high team of Pa-raca, Pa-raca, Nev. on Friday night but returned nome to win irom tne Cedar high team the following night. Last week end the Rams dropped drop-ped games to the Springville and Cyprus high school teams in the tournament played here and in Cedar City, but made good show, ings in both games. But the Parowan team drew a bye for the opening week of play in the five-team Millard division of Region Six, and it might be possible pos-sible that it may be allowed to schedule a practice game on that week end. We understand that an effort is being made to play another Nevada team on that date if possible, either Ely or Boulder City. Coach Decker's team opens its league play on Friday, Jan. 15 with Milford on the Parowan court. Hinckley high school team will be missing from the schedule sche-dule this year as that high school vas merged with the Delta high, giving Delta much extra strength foi the coming season. Four of the five schools participating par-ticipating in the Millard division will be using glass backboards this year, three for the first time. Delta high gym has had glass backboards for several years, and new glass backboards were installed in-stalled In the new enlarged Parowan Paro-wan gym this fall.
