Show New Booklet Depicts Utah As Sportsmen's Paradise A new colorful booklet boosting boost-ing Utah's hunting, fishing and camping areas was being distributed distrib-uted today by the Utah Tourist and Publicity Council. Published by the council with the cooperation of the State Fish and Game Department and the U. S. Fotest Service, the book: contains 16 pages in two colors inside plus a three-color cover and baj. Hap. Three main sections cover hunting, fishing and camping. Each section has a written description, de-scription, drawings and pictures, and a map pinpointing the major ma-jor areas in which the sport is found. Also, 106 camp grounds found in the state'.-: national forests for-ests are listed giving access directions di-rections and facilities of each. Two center pages are devoted to the variety of other vacation opportunities, including swimming, swim-ming, sailing, skiing, riding, tennis, ten-nis, golf, dancing, river running and dude ranching. On the back flap is a picture and message of welcome from Governor J. Bracken Lee. "It is the opinion of all council members that Utah is second to none in the recreational activities activi-ties outlined In this booklet, John Campbell, council director, stated. "By widely distributing these to individuals, travel agencies, motor associations, sports editors edi-tors and sportsmen's clubs we hope to substantially increase the state's revenue in this field from out-of-state sportsmen and tourists," he added. The council will distribute 50,-000 50,-000 copies. |
