One correction has been necessary neces-sary for Information given in last week's publication, a change from Dec. 29 to Dec. 28 for the first basketball practice sessions. Mr. Boulter and his committee are presently engaged in arranging ar-ranging for the entrance of an eighth team to the league to make the scheduling simpler and to round out the three games a night as presently scheduled. One comment has been made in regard to the use of the C S U fieldhouse. It is anticipated that the Bronco basketball team will be working out each evening until 6:o0 or 7 o clock. As a result re-sult doors to the fieldhouse will remain locked on the nights, of city league play until 7:15. No one will be admitted on those nights until that time and the Jaycee committee solicits the support of team members in honoring hon-oring the 7:15 opening time. Two out-of-town teams have entered the league this year, Par-owan Par-owan and Enterprise, and at this stage of the arrangements, five Cedai City teams are entered. Cedar Ce-dar teams include: National Guard, Jaycees, Columbia Iron Mines, Utah Construction and Bradshaw Chevrolet. Practice sessions will be held starting Dec. 28 and league play will open on Jan. 12, 1954, Mr. Boulter stated. |
